Pro Tips for Getting CLUTCH Right Every Time

CLUTCH is pretty foolproof. But like anything, there's a right way to do it. These three tips are all you need to get a stronger hold, longer wear and zero "why isn't this working" moments 🙌

Spread it generously with the applicator

Use the applicator head to smear CLUTCH around so you've got maximum surface area working for you. More spread equals more hold — it's not about how much glue you use, it's about how much ground it covers. Don't be shy with how far you spread it and you'll be locked in for a long long time.

Wait until it's completely dry before you test it

CLUTCH is not super glue. It doesn't bond instantly — it bonds with time. Wait until it's completely dry before you press your fabric down and test the hold. If you rush it you'll think it's not working when really it just needs a little patience. Trust the process! 💙

Adjust your technique for thin vs thick fabrics

This one's a game changer. For thin fabrics like silk or satin, apply CLUTCH in a thin layer and leave it extra long to get tacky before gently placing your clothes on. This stops it seeping through the fabric. For thicker fabrics like denim or structured materials, go with a thicker application so it can hold the weight. You don't need to wait for it to get tacky but just know the dry time will be a bit longer 🫶🏻

Once you've got these three down you'll get a perfect result every single time. Grab yours at clutchglue.com and tag us @clutch_glue with your best CLUTCH moment.
